Start With GenieACS With Mikrotik & TP-Link

Hi everyone,

I’m new to GenieACS and the TR069 protocol, but I’m very interested in how they work and the possibilities they open up.

I set up the server as per the documentation and enabled ACS authentication, and everything is perfect; my devices authenticate. I use Mikrotik (Kernel V7) and TP-Link as CPEs.

I’d like to understand how to configure the graphical interface that allows me to see different things based on the CPE manufacturer, and how to implement check functions like ping, taceroute, and provisioning.

The documentation is certainly well-written, but as a novice, it’s a bit difficult to understand the mechanism.

(By the way, I wanted to ask if you accept help with the documentation, as well as supplementary help from community members.)

Like most open source projects, the docs for GenieACS could always use improvement. The best answer for “How do I?” questions is going to be the search feature of the forum.
