TP-Link Agile ACS

I found in a random google search that TP-Link makes their own ACS, and to my surprise, it is a modified version of GenieACS:

@zaidka were you aware of that?

I’m aware of it and I have nothing to do with it. From what I can see, it almost certainly violates the AGPL3 license terms so there’s that

I’ve requested a copy of the AGPL3 protected code that they changed via their standard mechanism for doing so. I haven’t received a response yet, but given that I submitted it this weekend I wouldn’t expect an answer prior to Monday morning.

Actually under AGPL3 they’re only legally obliged to share the modified code with their customers, not necessarily the public.

I am a TP-Link customer, even though I don’t usually buy routers from them. They just gave me access to their Agile site and I requested a license for the ACS.

(I’m not actually going to use it for production instead of GenieACS, but I’m curious to see what they have done)
