GenieACS - reasonable number of devices

Hi,

I have installed version of GenieACS: v1.2.13+250122e151 on the VM in my company’s cloud that has 4 cores, and 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage and it is using Linux Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS.

Here are some more details regarding CPU:

Architecture: x86_64
CPU op-mode(s): 32-bit, 64-bit
Address sizes: 45 bits physical, 48 bits virtual
Byte Order: Little Endian
CPU(s): 4
On-line CPU(s) list: 0-3
Vendor ID: GenuineIntel
Model name: Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 6238R CPU @ 2.20GHz
CPU family: 6
Model: 85
Thread(s) per core: 1
Core(s) per socket: 4
Socket(s): 1
Stepping: 7
BogoMIPS: 4399.99

Currently I have 220 devices on the ACS and provisioning is working just fine

I wonder what is the reasonable number of devices that this architecture can handle without some issues?

Best regards,

Tarik

Hi Tarik,

The number of devices that could be safely handled would vary depending on the number of scripts that you have and their complexity.

You may have to capture data now, at your present 220 devices and compare it against the performance data when you have added more devices.
