WARNING: FritzBox v7.50 doesn't work with genieacs-fs

Important message for anyone running genieacs and AVM FritzBox clients. Starting with version 257.7.50, the FritzBox will issue an HTTP HEAD before the HTTP GET when downloading a new firmware.

genieacs-fs does NOT support HTTP HEAD method and any download will fail.

Hey, I also ran into the same issue today. Another way to work around this problem is setting the following parameter to false.

  • InternetGatewayDevice.ManagementServer.X_AVM-DE_FirmwareUpdatePrecheck
