Mikrotik-Public IP (PPPoE) not showing in Devices tab

Hello, good morning team,

I’m setting up Mikrotik devices with a WAN connection using PPPoE, but I can’t get the public IP address to appear in the Devices tab.

In the Config section I’m adding this parameter

Device.PPP.Interface.1.IPCP.LocalIPAddress

but it doesn’t display any value.

I’ve checked the Mikrotik TR-069 documentation, and it seems that this should be the correct line.

I look forward to your help.

Thank you very much.

On our AVM devices it’s InternetGatewayDevice.WANDevice.1.WANConnectionDevice.1.WANPPPConnection.1.ExternalIPAddress.

Hello Westnet-Paul,

First of all, thank you for your response.

I tried what you suggested, but it still doesn’t show any value.
Do I need to create it first in the Config section and then apply it in the Index Page?
If so, what should be the value for the key and what for the value?

In the Index Page I currently have it set like this:

  • label: ‘“PPPoe Client IP”’
    parameter:InternetGatewayDevice.WANDevice.1.WANConnectionDevice.1.WANPPPConnection.1.ExternalIPAddress

On the Mikrotik I can see that pppoe_out1 is interface #9 — should I set it in GenieACS as Device.PPP.Interface.9?

Many thanks,

Romualdo C.

On the device’s page.

In the “All Parameters” section, type: WANPPP. This will show you the PPPoE connection path. Then, click the “Update” button next to the parameter to load the information and identify the exact parameter path you need.

Hello Good Monrning

That was Horus, now it´s works! Thank so much

What happens is that I’ve added it to the index page, but when I reload the platform it doesn’t show up. I have to go device by device and click the refresh button for the line Device.PPP.Interface.1.IPCP.LocalIPAddress.

I understand there must be a way to have this field refresh automatically as soon as the device is registered.

Thank you so much again.

Romualdo C.

You need to declare the relevant parameter in a provision.

Please see the documentation. And the FAQ.

Hello good morning!

I’ll review what you mentioned, thank you very much for your help.
