# What is the purpose of this Username/Password?

The password check must be implemented manually.

On Admin/config of Genie, you do:  
click on “new config”  
key: cwmp.auth  
value: AUTH(“testuser”, “testpassword”)

Can you tell me about the protection mechanisms? The server must be with a public IP.
