I am using a VSOL EPON OLT with some third-party Huawei ONUs

(HG8145C, 346M, 546M series) and trying to remotely push TR-069/WAN

configuration to them (for bulk customer onboarding).

What i’ve tried:

✅ onu ctc fast\_leave — works

❌ onu pri tr069\_mng — Time Out

❌ onu ctc mgmt ip — VarNoResource

❌ profile srv + tr069\_mng bind — accepted in config, but never actually applied to the ONU

VSOL’s own support team confirmed:

"TR-069 configuration parameters on Huawei ONUs rely on proprietary

OMCI messages. VSOL OLT cannot configure Huawei ONU via private OMCI."

Questions:

1. Has anyone successfully pushed TR-069 to a Huawei ONU on a VSOL EPON OLT? How?

2. Has anyone tried DHCP Option 43 (ONU-side auto-discovery) with this exact combination?

3. Is switching to a Huawei GPON OLT (instead of VSOL) the real fix here?

1. Currently i have tested wifi user name, password change , wifi on off and device reboot

Is another parameters that we can do other than these

I’m pretty sur I used ACS Discovery (DHCP Option 43) with Huawei ONU several years ago and it was working fine. You just need to figure out the good syntax for your DHCP server.

I didn’t do it with a V-SOL OLT but the OLT don’t matter once WANs are created and can communicate through the OLT.
