hello experts! i am new to Genieacs and just stuck on how Devices (ont’s) automatically connect after a factory reset. i am testing with huawei, zte, fiberhome onts. please guide what should i need for this setup thanks. ---

Hi, There are different ways to do this. Probably the best way would be for the ONT to receive the TR69 URL via DHCP option 43 from your OLT. The ONT should ideally have a separate, default private WAN interface to get the URL and be managed via the ACS. Hope that helped. ---

hi, I successfully added the onts into Genieacs, and they are communicating. and i have a management VLAN for tr069 purposes. all onts receives the lease from dhcp. but the main problme is when ont resets accidentally by the user’s side, then we lost the connectivity between user ont and our genieacs server. Here I am explaining what i have done. 1: sync or add the ONT with the OLT 2: ONT receives the IPs from the DHCP server. 3: We refresh the page of Geniacs, and we sync the ont in Geniacs successfully THE PROBLEM IS WHEN USER RESET THE ONT THEN WE ADD THE ONT TO OLT. but how the ont obtain its configuration from Genieacs server. i mean automatically configuration from acs. ---

The WAN interface used for the ONT should be part of the default configuration of the ONT. Usually your vendor support would help you set that up. Once that is done, even when a user resets the ONT, the management interface is still there and your GenieACS scripts can add whatever other interfaces the ONT needs - voice, data, etc. DR ---

yes you are right. i can understand what you said. But i am talking about those ONTs which are not directly bought from the vendor. we purchase from a local supplier. Even though we asked him they said we don’t have any firmware like this. here i am stuck. How can i manage please help thanks. ---

GPON Technology also allows to send ACS URL to registered CPE via omci protocol. therefore no need to use dhcp option82. im pretty sure other olt brands also allows for that example, in case of huawei olt: ```auto ont-lineprofile gpon profile-id 228 tr069-management enable ``` ONT CFG: ```auto interface gpon 0/1 ont add 8 33 sn-auth "434454431DFF1234" ont tr069-server-config 8 33 profile-id 1 // bind acs server profile 1 to this ont ont ipconfig 8 33 dhcp vlan 228 //creates l3ipif on the ont and bind to vlan 228 ``` OLT tr069 profile: ```auto ont tr069-server-profile add profile-id 1 profile-name "youispname" url "http://acs.isp.org:7547/" user "ont" password "acs" ``` since this configuration exist on the olt side. therefore resseting userside ont doesnt make effect ONT will get it back when reconnects to OLT ---

no there is no default interface because when we add ont in to olt then olt push the configuration via profiles into ont then ont obtains a DHCP lease. ---

yes you are right but currently im using v-sol olt
